If you are uncertain as to what Blank Verse is, the short explanation is:
Blank Verse is any regular meter that is not rhymed. Meter consists of metrical feet and metrical feet are considered to be two syllables.
Bimeter = 2 feet or 4 syllables
Trimeter = 3 feet or 6 syllables
Tetrameter = 4 feet or 8 syllables
Pentameter = 5 feet or 10 syllables
Hexameter = 6 feet or 12 syllables
There are no requirements for stress patterns (iambic, trochaic, etc)
If you are uncertain of a term, please do an on-line search before requesting an explanation. This way you can review the explanation you will be given and identify any areas which are not clear.
