Proposal II: Disciplinary Action Normalization
Currently the AEC is charged with reviewing disciplinary options and, through a unanimous vote, suggesting to the Trustees a course of action should a filed complaint be deemed valid and accurate.
This proposal will request disciplinary action be normalized and the AEC given a set of instructions to implement within the following outline:
1) All infractions will have a life-cycle of 90 days.
2) Any infraction older than 90 days will not be considered for disciplinary purposes
3) All infractions will be classed as Level 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5
4) Any combination of infractions within a 90 day period will be added together to determine the current infraction level
3) All Level 1 infractions will result in a warning
4) All Level 2 infractions will result in a 3 day account suspension
5) All Level 3 infractions will result in a 10 day account suspension
6) All Level 4 infractions will result in a 30 day account suspension
7) All Level 5 infractions will result in a 90 day account suspension
8) Any infraction above Level 5 will result in account termination
9) Any account suspension will be lifted only after a site-wide poll in favour of reinstatement
10) All disciplinary action will be publicly displayed to include the name of the person(s) filing complaints, the sections of the Terms of Use and/or Community Guidelines violated, and any and all history that was used to determine the current disciplinary action.
If this proposal is accepted, a separate proposal will be put forth to classify all potential infractions based on the Community Guidelines and Terms of Use.
