What do you want from your Neopoet experience ?? A community question

Over the last few months I have worked with the AEC and I learnt a lot ... I am still learning but after three months I have a better understanding of how Neopoet really works

I am considering a proposal for AEC but before I do ... I am asking this question to you all

what you do want from your time here at neopoet ??

1.is it to improve your poetry

2.or is it to just share your thoughts in poetry without a mind for improvement

now its been suggested that there are groups here at Neopoet, I am going to shock you and confirm that is true

there are people here who just love to write and dont want critique .. there are people here (like me) who started it as a hobby but over time I embraced the workshop side of the site and now I am looking at publishing my first book in a few months ... if someone had of said that to me at the beginning of last year I would have told them to get a check up from the neck up

I have been voted into the AEC Chair I take this job seriously and with that I have a little more free time than my other AEC members ? my plan is to push through all the projects to whatever stage of completion we can get them to in the next twelve weeks, and start any new projects that come up in the meantime  

now I cant do that if your all fighting and bitching and moaning about he said, she said, who said but I will put in whatever time I have spare from running a family of four kids to better this site 

I am asking for your help ... we want a better site, we all deserve a better site

and only we can do that with the coming together of everyone  ...

the last week of our last AEC was to say the least hard but we got through it ...

now its time to move forward without rancour or dissention and make this site even better 

ask youself what your doing here and then once we all know what the heck we want ?? we might be able to move forward without anymore of this childish crap and thats what a lot of it was ... with a little nastiness but hey we are human nasty is apart of us and we are artists lol its going to get ugly every now and then ... When egos clash ;) lol

please if you have suggestions dont hesitate to bring them to me ... I wont always reply to you straight away but I will reply given time

I just want to add that without the help of a handful of people and the constant help with critiques I would never have even considered publishing my poetry Neopoet did that for me ... its there if you work hard enough and want it bad enough
