This Is My Opinion ( for those who don't understand what an opinion is, look it up! )

Recently I posted an admittedly controversial poem about our current President, and was immediately set upon by some people who claimed my poem was not a poem at all but simply a racist rant.  I was told that "My white robe was showing",  and other disparaging remarks about my background and personal beliefs were flung in my face.  In my nearly 63 years of existance, I have been taught many things by many people, and, have learned a few here and there on my own as well.  I have always been brought up to believe that, in America, a person could voice their opinions, via whatever medium they chose, and not be chastised for doing so.  It is also common knowledge, amongst those who are higher on the food chain than ape droppings, that Poetry has long been a venue for expressing discontent with political or sociological concerns.  Now, I understand, that a supposedly "Formal" complaint may be made against me for posting the poem to begin with.  Well, here, in the proverbial nutshell, is my "Opinion" on this bucket of Bullshit!  This may well be an "International" poetry site, but it is run by American citizens, and is governed by American laws, unless things have changed since I awoke this morning!  Having established this, I believe I am well within my rights, both as an American citizen, and as a member of this poetry community, to post any poem I so choose, on any subject I so choose without being "called on the carpet", so to speak, for my doing so!  I have read and re-read the guidelines for posting on this site, and also the guidelines for critiquing or commenting on a post.  The poem I posted did not break any of the guidelines for posting, but several of the guidelines for critiquing and commenting were blatantly smashed in the ensuing dialog of discussion about my piece!  Not being a person to mince words, I am hereby stating that if any punishment is to be handed out in regards to this issue, It should be handed out to those who condemn freedom of speech and not someone who practices it!  Furthermore, if anyone posts anymore derogatory or "Racist" crap on my Profile page, it will be me who makes a "Formal" complaint!  I refuse to be labled a piece of "White Trash" simply for expressing my OPINION in a Poem!  And for those who label me as such, FUCK YOU ALL!!
