DEVISIVE MONSTER
Trolling down the stream one night
just reading poetry, alright?
when eyes grew wide in disbelief
I saw the source of so much grief
POLITICS!! there in plain sight !
this site infected with the blight
I should have simply shook my head
but like a fool I read , instead
Befor long I did perceive
the author was just plain naive!
"let it ride!" my mind did shout
alas, this voice had little clout
I wrote reply to listed friend
to put false illusions to an end
too bad, it soon became my fate
to find myself in a debate......
I still read this author's work
and writing comments I don't shirk
our friendships ruined, I had to blow it
Do politics belong in Neopoet ?
