Lotus

Lotus

I’m that lotus

A flower yet to bloom

Touch me only

If you love to

But take care

I am an enwrapped virgin.

As I open my arms

Morning dew emerges

Treat it like a diamond...

Then only dare to yourself

With me compare

Endow your whole

Upon me only

If you care to share

My love solely

And

If you haven’t the verve,

Then swerve

Go your way,

Let some one else

With me play...

More deserving of me

A lotus flower

That’s what I’ll always be

Other wise

Leave me to alone

To serve

At Buddha’s feet

Then none can my life beat.
