Anasthetic Claws

I write of dreams, and broken pasts

my tears mix with my ink

I write how nothing EVER lasts

and how it hurts to think

I scribble torment, pen to pads

My heartache starts to shrink

and now indifference comes on fast

and now I start to drink

The winter makes me blissfully numb

It's fitting for this cause

I take it in, and stricken dumb,

my brain gets put on pause.

And every night I do succumb

to Anasthetic Claws

Its sad, and  yet it saves me from

depressions ugly jaws.
