I Want the Raw Truth . . .
My brain wiring is such that when people tell me something like:
"Give me your honest opinion" I actually believe they want my honest opinion. Unfortunately, this is not the case many times and thus I find myself in socially awkward situations as I cannot distinguish between a "Tell me the truth" and "Tell me I am pretty." when they both only contain the words :Tell me the truth."
I have learned to ask, in most cases, unless there is a a predisposition of the situation like you would find in say, a poetry workshop.
So people, if you say you want the raw truth, don't be surprised when it is offered. If I see you say you want the raw truth and then see you complain about said truth, I just may highlight to you the inconsistency of your position in a way I find humourous.
After all, I view arrogance and hypocrisy as the leading causes of most fights.
Someone will decide this blog is absolutely about them. They are mistaken but as they are probably guilty of the behavior detailed above, nothing I do or say will convince them otherwise. Since this is the case I will state, if you are offended by this blog, please consider it a direct and person attack and accuse me of violating community guidelines.
I've not mocked someone specifically in far too long.
