Observations ~ This is no poetry.
I have been writing and posting poetry and comments here at Neopoet for 2 years, garnering more than 10,000 *points*. These are actual because I didn't subscribe and unsubscribe, change names, etc. except at the very beginning as I was ignorant in navigating the site and somewhat frustrated with its slowness then.
In that time I have gotten to know many and I have seen how we interact with one another. Some of us write only loving, devotional poems and comments, some of us love to expose our dark side, some of us push the envelope just because we can. I'm of the latter ilk.
We all have our places here even though we annoy and/or infuriate one another at times and at times, we are so tender it actually aches. We can be obtuse, preachy, unkind, saccharine-sweet in fake sincerity and down right crazy when mercury is in retrograde.
It's time we *kicked it up a notch* as Emeril is wont to say, let's really see where and how we can improve our own game.
I'll start.
