Dear Abe....

                                            Dear Abe…

Abraham Lincoln said, you cannot strengthen the weak,
by weakening the strong.
You cannot help the wage earner,
by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot help the poor,
by destroying the rich.
I think he was wrong, and we as a species should not have poor,. Especially in our strongest economic countries. It demeans the whole nation, if they have to admit. That there are people living in poverty, while others have copious wealth.

Why with their every word, do the richest people in our society, tell the poorest they have to respect peoples riches. When it is evident that the rich have no respect for our poorest. And look upon them as a burden, or necessary evil..

Surely now we are educated, and have at our finger tips more information than ever. Do we still allow people to die from hunger or thirst, while our pets eat more food falling from our tables. And we waste more water brushing our teeth than would keep those people alive.
It is a crime that an educated society have so much, and care so little about the wrongs in our world.
