A Matter of Passive Intimidation

  I was once a devotee to the flock, never emerged as much as prescribed. Perhaps it had to do with the fact that I was seeking socialization, rather then validation through group identity. Even as a Follower it unsettled me that simply initiating is insifficent in and of itself, their are follow through requirments.. pick the " appropriate" denomination, attend three bible study groups a week, and a once a month seminar. My ascension from the bowels of faith was launched not by atheist rants, but by the muttering of True Believers. So I'll continue to opt out on waiting in line for pie-in-the-sky
