If I Only Had a Brain
Once again we see people rushing around, seeking issues for which they can claim offense and I marvel at the free time these people have.
So I will share a few rules under which I normally operate. These are my self-imposed rules, not any community rules or requirements.
1) Respect the level of feedback requested in a poetry submission
2) If you consistently find a member's work to be valueless, ignore them
3) If you consistently find a member's blogs to be valueless, ignore them
4) Never represent, request, demand, or otherwise indicate who can post, respond, or comment on anything
5) Never take offense, especially when it is meant
The result of my self imposed rules is that I, personally, have almost no angst at Neopoet.
Now, these are rules I use and rules that work well for me most of the time, but the reason they do so is that I am not in competition with anyone at this site for anything which means the most important rule, #5, is the easiest to implement successfully.
Rule #6, Never serve in an elected office, I tried my best to implement but, apparently, I was not smart enough to accomplish.
