Problem with submitting spoken word poem

Can someone please help me to apply a spoken word into this site. I downloaded the audacity at the request of another member here but when I go to submit it will not take it. So how do I get it into a mp3 oog format what it says to be able to submit, I keep getting an error message. Any help would be appreciated as I have waited for answer for two weeks,, didnt know it had to go in here. Thanks
