Brave Blue Sea

Brave Blue Sea In days like these, you smilein front of darling flowers, silky as night;you bendlike wintry wind, like soft and mumblingtwigs and bushes.

I was stilted but phrasedlike a book, and underneaththe stars hanging byyour darkened balcony,I became a silly champion
of some sort, amidst the wordsthat didn't ever come. They never were so distinctand so clear,as tonight.Ah, those times and seasonsthat won’t ever be;both the sameand different, like a relentless movie that we sawin times gone by:Only this lovestands still like a frenzied whisperchantedby a brave blue sea.

not bad

a few lines seemed a little cliche. but i absolutely loved the visuals i got from the lin 'I became a silly champion of some sort,', made me think of having the nerve and gaul to walk up to someone you really like and fumbling it, nervously, and just looking a cute fool. keep them coming

The_Fool:

Thanks friend for visiting and commenting. I guess I need to read more contemporary prose so as not to incurr in such cliches. Sincerely, Hugo

I know that feeling...

Standing with words stuck in your mouth, like struck dumb. But the body language of insecurity stands out to the ones who want to hear what you want to say, but unseen by the ones you want to hear you. Very very nice. Rosina xena465

Ann of Norway Oh Romeo you have woven the words into rose bowers at my balcony seized the stars from the heavens but they turned into snowflakes and melted away with time, but the memory stayed as if etched. Love Ann.

Dear Ann:

Thank you for your wise comment and words deluxe. Even though my poem melted like snowflakes, I'm pleased it triggered such heightened critical awareness. Sincerely, Hugo

And it had humour,

Ann of Norway And it had humour, in fact it had all the ingredients and that's what made it work for us, sweeping into your hand as you wrote our imaginations, to follow your words and find that we too had an experience with their utterance. No? Love Ann
