My Mind
My mind
Quivering mind
Thoughts of a vain association
Lingering in my mind
As a one timer only
I’m never again to be friend
In the manner unknown
To a friend of unknown origin
And definition
Amongst my friends are
The wreaking ones’
Yearning for unison
Answering life’s solitary question.
From where art thou?
My poet anon,
Without or within?
My breath they take away
They lose me out
Sooner than later
As I am not any the better,
To divulge an open heart,
Which I share with those,
Who as my one time friends themselves,
Themselves they declare,
Ere the sunrises
They simply fade away.
The rising sun
Seemingly does set,
Ahead of its time,
Yet newer friends
For me it does beget.
