Hope

Raindrops pitting
the surface of puddles,
scarring.
A roaring river
pouring down,
drowning.
Drumming loudly,
collecting in a barrel,
claustophobic.
Finding a way
between gullies,
searching.
Trickling down
a steady stream,
releasing.
Misting from the sky,
a veiled outlook,
engulfing.
A break in the clouds,
sunrays shining through,
hoping.
