A different ground

A different ground.

 ....

A time long past but yesterday, maybe.

A different ground under my feet.

Skys of wonder, an empty page.

Just a photograph away..Now.

 ....

Moving , always onward-friends made and left.

Joyous tho, those happy days,

Starlight and sunlight and un-encumbered times.

Dusty roads, dirty bars, this life is good.

 ....

Watched as rockets tore the sky and dolphins skiped,

No reason why, Sunny days so long.

And wicked nights, reasons to be and

Rightly so.

 ....

I found the nomad. The unbound soul, the child

Within, the lover of happening.

Open-topped and rootless

Yet, happy, drifting,

On to a different ground, again.

A hard read

Chris. I can only offer this as your poetry keeps my mind awake. after reading it now twice I see at least a reflection from the corner of my mind what you placed to parchment. So place a smile to the dark of the day and yet I think you are a fine poet that offers only his mind to the truth of time spent and passed by. Steven A. Kacer

I am always touched that anyone would take the time to read my work. I thank you for your words and I will try to stay obtuse. Chris
