You asked me why I love (a poem by Seren/Jay-C)

You asked me why Iove you

I love you as,
the suns rays
caressed this morning
so gently
that her tears are dew
evermore

as the black of night
consumes my spirit,
a black bolt of velvet
shot in bursts of
illumination
was my gift

and that,
without your essense
I would have never shined

I'd have not discovered
love as
the siren or mermaid
never would I have felt your breath
in my hair

The shy wallflower
hiding like wheres wally
in a potplant
I was the minute
speck of a mouth
that seldom moved

but you caught my eye
held it in your hand
and refused to return my sight
till I saw myself as you did

never special
never precious
until I saw myself through your eyes

and you ask why I love you

While Jayne is away, I'll post her poems either in blog or as a new poem. We've got to have our daily dose of Jayne, eh? Please send love & healing thoughts. ~Anna
