"How Dare You!"
I am receiving an unsustainable amount of requests to review work and mentor people. With this is mind I am laying out the following stipulations:
- Mentoring
- I will not consider any mentor request unless the requester has been an active member of Neopoet.com for 90+ days
- I will attempt to review and critique at least one (1) submitted item from each of my protege's a week
- My proteges are expected to enter EVERY contest
- Non Mentoring Work Review
- If you would like me to review a specific item you have written, PM me the request with a link to the item no more than once every two (2) weeks
- If you request a critique and then complain about my critique, we are done. You do not have to implement my critique or take it seriously, you just may not complain about it.
- If I review your work and offer critique, it does not indicate there is a mentor/protege relationship between us
- Open Requests
- If you have previously asked me to review your work, I will do so
- Please be patient as I have a great many demands on my time
- I will review two (2) random selections for open requests. After this is complete please follow the steps outlined above
- If you desire to withdraw your request, do so in any manner you desire
- Established Relationships
- Folks with whom I regularly interact, you know who you are, these rules do not apply to you
- We've been here for years and although we may have different approaches, we are peers and peers offer each other advice on request
