Caution: this blog entry is intended to let off some steam. If you happen to be hyper-sensitive to heat, please step out of its way.
It is beginning to feel to me as if we are not having a poetry site here, but a Kindergarten or high-school social network, where everyone is suspecting everyone else of initiating hate campaigns against them.
Really, folks, can you at least try to act a little more grown up?
I will repeat in public what I have said a thousand times in private:
If someone sends you hate pms, block them and report them to AEC.
If someone leaves a comment that you think qualifies as a personal attack against you on one of your poems, report them to AEC.
If someone posts a blog entry that you think is aimed at you, do not respond. If the blog mentions your name or pen name, report to AEC.
Easy as pie. No need for lengthy flame war type discussions. No need for suspicions and false accusations that ultimately spark a new flame war.
And another thought: Has it ever dawned on you that you are not the centre of everybody else's universe?
Not everyone who has a different opinion than you have is automatically attacking you or launching a hate campaign against you. They might not even waste a second thought on you after having found out that they don't agree with you.
If I don't get along with someone, I don't read their posts. I don't interact with them. Period.
Have a nice weekend, all you beloved drama kings and queens!
