The colour of Envy

If my Aura could be seen
It would be fluorescent green
All others differing shades of red
From rosy to ruse or rot instead

They seem to know about red and green
Never together should they be seen
They fear my green, its weird and not right
Its colour unatural like day versus night

I cannot change my green to red
Its intrinsically fused within my head
All I want is one other green
A soul mate to share what I have seen

It seems bloody impossible, I'm sick of the search
I will not go back to that prison of church
So what that I'm different, get over it Man
When I find my one you should hide if you can

You'll see what I mean when we're reunited
Our fluorescent green will glow uninvited
Beam into your souls and show what you lack
It's too late now my Jasper is back

Green, "green grow the rushes oh!"

'Scuse me for quoting as this just came into my head and was something my mother enjoyed and repeated enough to fix itself in the mind whenever jogged by the sound of the word green. Oh this green its rhyming in my mind as it dances about an fills the whole of one's being with green, wonderfully musical green. A forest glade, a fair maid and Heaven's green bedspread on the floor of the world then you will capture her I am sure. And there you are Stuart, someone special too I see! How special you are, you are! The vs- could you not spell it out, I agree it has tiny bit of mis-rhythm in its whole but, not THAT much. versus? Oh this is great I swing along green with envy, now will be when you find your other green, there must be so many when you can write poetry of such enticing beauty? They will come dressed in green and become you Queen you'll see just keep up the dance of words and you will swathe them into your bower of grasses and who knows what will happen next! Yours from the Ann of Norway introduced by our dear sweet Anna. Thank you Anna. (My clan is Stewart/Stuart, not that I am clammed to a clan) I will be back!

I cannot thank you enough,

I cannot thank you enough, what a lovely interesting review!! I think your words are better than my whole poem Ann lol, truely thankful for the comment. I find myself re-reading your comment...and it gives me hope and faith that destiny is inevitable and deserved. Well Ann on a side note... I am of the MacGregor clan. The one that was banished and whos name was stricken from the record for centuries... Best regards Stuart ;-)

dark and mysterious

The MavGregors and the MacAlpines in the valley of sorrow, Glen Fruin, near Helensburgh Clyde side, where my sister had a farm and my mother lived, and the MacGregor in the little castle nearby was shot at with a bow and arrow through one of those slits in a building and died; oh the name of the castle escapes me but its not far from those "Bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond," And it is a lovely little ruin now, with a wild garden around it and great trees shading it and views to the lake, oh yes I remember it well. The Glen Fruin is always dark and mysterious and has the clans mentioned on a plaque at its end not far from the 'atomic research site' shudder. Just listen to that name in broad Scottish with the rrrrrrolling rrrrrr's and you have a powerful sound, No? Your Ann of Norway (Scottish mother ancestors from the Orkneys) Och aye! Stuart.
