"You Must Be This Tall . . ."

If only we had some sort of metric that prevented people from displaying their stupidity so blazingly fast.

Oh, I am certain they are trying to be clever or smart or tough or imposing or whatever but all I see is insecure children puffing out their chests, hoping no one pokes them and witnesses them running home to mommy to be comforted and lied to with a cookie and a glass of milk and stories of how "special" they are.

And while I am not above acts of stupidity me own damn self, I am above whining about getting caught doing them and the reason is simple; as I take responsibility for everything I do I can never be a ersatz victim and only ersatz victims whine about the results of things they have initiated.

This is why I do not threaten or bluster or posture.  Aside from not having the energy to remember all of that, I am really too focused on trying to accomplish my goals:

1) Learn to write better
2) Work with like minded individuals
3) Be left alone by the whiners and passive aggressive twits

But it seems some of the passive aggressive  mental giants believe they can, what, make me angry?  Provoke me? Make me believe their IQs are really above normal?  Hell I don't know, I just see the laughable attempts at being clever and the way they display that I am such a central part of their life and I am richly amused.

Really, it always astonishes me that anyone cares what I think.  Imagine my reaction when someone is bound and determined to give me "what for!"    If it's not obvious by now it become a story I share with people, one of many we laugh over because, seriously, imagine this set up:

"So, I was on a poetry workshop site the other day and this person decided they were going to threaten me . . ."

On the surface the dichotomy between "poetry workshop" and "threaten" is enough to elicit a laugh, now add in any of the following venues:  A bar, a martial arts school, a corporate meeting, a fight call for the Ren Faire, etc., and you may see how people react.

Personally, I do not care if your threats are real or made in hopes that people think you have a spine, I just hope you keep them coming because, really, the free material is comedy gold.

Oh, and have a nice day.
