Go Ask God Why

I have pondered and wondered

About the labyrinth of nature

But incessantly vague

Indeed it is an intriguing bother I can’t cover

From where came He to call us who never were

I can’t know how

It lies with Him who had us made

Know He everything

Yet he created the devil

Knowing man with a questionable will

Can only little shrug off evil

Yet He called him an aid to fall

Once commanding light, now king of the dark

Lead a revolt and thrown to our land

When couldn’t be contained at the higher place

How can man survive amidst this thorny space?

Why allow this slack, man can hardly mark

Don’t ask me, go ask God why

Many are his sons, yet chose for Himself one

Comes therefore no surprising

Chosen sons at every generation

The blessed folks, His toast

The father of all, an epitome of equality

Yet born of the same womb at the same time

One was liked and loved the more

By Him who loves us all

Of the same lineage where comes the diverse race

Some prosperous, some wrestling with poverty

Variety He loves, His pleasure

Gave us His word but in parables

That not all understand

Only through the knowledge given

Can all be saved, yet only a few understand

Is it deliberate to cut some away?

No, for He loves us all,

Albeit not purposely denied

The world and all ought to be answered

So need be to go ask God why
