If the Proof is in the Pudding, Can We Still Eat It?

I've rambled on quite about about Neopoet.com being a poetry workshop and have detailed my feelings about those who are here only to dump their work and receive and give nothing but unconsidered praise.  Some people have appreciated my candor, some have not, and some have stated they want to drive me from the site.  Unfortunately their tactic was to try to be a bigger asshole than I am and thus was doomed to failure but I appreciate the compliment and the attention.

Not really, I was just pretending to be nice.  I was actually only amused and found it rather pathetic.

Regardless, as a way of proving my basic point that unconsidered praise is useless we currently have a condition where a poem was entered into the October contest and has received a five (5) star rating.

Really?  What's wrong with that?

October's contest is "Write the worst poem ever"
