The Great Scam
Ahhhhhh, Global Warming, now called Global Climate Change, an oxymoron if ever there was one. Climate is always changing, never the same. One of the coolest years on record and still they are trying to push the agenda. If it wasn't so threatening it would be funny.
Will all evidence to the contrary they are passing sweepiong CO regulations to save the climate. Oh yeah, right. All evidence points that CO has miniscule effect on temperature, but it provides large income for governments and effects everything you buy or do. If they were really and truly worried about the environment, and I include the Invro terrorists in this, they would worry about the real things that are causing problems.
The New light bulbs that save energy supposedly. The problem, mercury. These get thrown away in landfills adding heavy metals that can seep into groundwater, run off into the streams and oceans causing contamination of drinking water, fish and seafood. That doesn't matter.
Plastic bags. They were to save the trees, a renewable resource, but turns out the tend to not decay and thus are making our landfills fuller among other things.
Hydrogen cars. A great idea, but when the government took over GM what did they do? They killed the hydrogen car in favor of hybrids.
Hybrid Cars. Sounds really great huh? Well, guess what? I drive a Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab Pickup with a big V-8 that gets about 14 mpg in town and 17-21 mpg on the highway and will have to drive it for 100,000 miles or more before it pollutes as much as it does to make the battery pack for one hybrid car. Oh yeah, they are worried about the planet.
Food crops for fuel. Great idea, turn farmland into fuel producers that costs more, could be used for fuel, cuts down on the number of trees and guess what, it causes areas to warm up faster that would be normal for grasslands and forest and pollutes more.
Wind/Solar farms. Wonderful, all for them aren't we? Well, isn't it funny they don't worry about the impact on the land for building them even though they take up acres and hundreds of acres of land, but that's okay, at least that one area of an acre or less won't be used to pump that evil stuff called oil without which they couldn't even begin to make the wind/solar farms in the first place.
Nuclear energy. Oh heaven forbid. It is the cleanest and most steady form of power generation, but all that radiation you know. The technology that is very safe these days and very very reliable.
Smelt. Protect it at all costs. Never mind 30,000 or more people are out of work and farms are going under in an area that provides 12% of the farm produce in the USA. How dare you think of people when a bait fish not as long as the palm is wide "might" get caught in the pumps and die. They are much more important. Besides that, those pesky farms can be turned into land for housing and we can import all our food from overseas or Mexicon and South America.
Protect the environment my backside, it translates to money, power and control for the governments!
And that is my opinion based on research of the facts. Now, get ready for Global Cooling as the cycle comes back around again. Research people, look at real facts not affiliated with one group or the other. Reminds me of a recent claim about military spending being 50% of the national budget. Truth is around 20% with closer to 50% being on government programs, of which better than 50% of them are useless and not doing what they were set up to do.
