Coat of Consequences
I met a man who understood, grand
the concept of optimism,
but constantly was he let down
paving way for pessimism.
in this mindset, he got a mild surprise
let the coat you wear be one of your size.
I know of a good doctor
who's business days aren't good,
he needs patience to complete his day
to heal the way he should.
In his mindset he's competent to use his eyes
let the coat you wear be one of your size.
I've learned to make sense of all of my faults
so that things can finally add up,
I notice the universe finally agrees
as I spare a "fiver" for another cup.
And in my mindset I'm allowed to share my cries
just let the coat that I am wearing be one of my size.
