A Nation once again

What beliefs have I stifledBy the bigotry of Historians words. What truths have I hidden from myselfBy my understanding of their misguided lies.I stand apart from that troubled land nowThis view very different from thereBut the life blood of that soilIs still within my soul. What has it spawned ?Have I somehow been infectedWith a seed of hate,Ripened with cynical old age.Now exposing the true heritageOf its radical parents. The cycle of racial abuseContinues in all culturesIrrespective of creed or colour.Have I broken my circle? What have I infused in my childrenPercolated with my life’s example?Their innocence fed by today’s propaganda.Words with power to break the cycleOr spin againAnother play of “A Nation once again”
