The Museum of Human Art
Sometimes it's as though
the heart stops
and time moves in reverse,
the beat of our animal
hunger
cries out into the longest night
loon-spirits
awaken us
with the thirst
for knowledge,
a wilderness camouflaged
by an act of multiplicty,
a citizen's rebellion
into days of destiny and
history rewritten
overhead the stars twinkle
and the light from a billion
galaxies swirling into oblivion
greets us
with the flowers of sunrise
and the heart of darkness
is no more
the native has returned
to Paradise,
ever the Garden, steadfast
memories
hidden in ancient
eyes
painted in the colours
ochre
white kaolin and
verdigris
just give me one more
day of eternity,
my foolish human soul
before the taste of ashes
on my sorrowful tongue...
After all is said and done, it's beauty we seek in all its forms...
Someone to share it with, all the while sharing with all who would see, listen and feel...to taste beauty
with all our senses.
