Like Fingers It Parts
So lightly tinted
is water
that falls
down mountain
view highlands
to rivers dark call
crashing through gullies
pounding away
the land
once before it
now
channels of prey
surface of stone
changed
day after day
from not gentle
persuasion
but surging
hard waves
with snow
that has melted
to join
in the flow of
water falls
humming
to band them
below
like applause
of so many
the sound
rambles on
through canyons
by valleys
in depth
of the long
distances travelled
journeys first start
to the ends
of it's reaches
now like
fingers it parts
to quietly linger
lazily move on
in this
peaceful existence
to mine
softly it soothes
is water
that falls
down mountain
view highlands
to rivers dark call
crashing through gullies
pounding away
the land
once before it
now
channels of prey
surface of stone
changed
day after day
from not gentle
persuasion
but surging
hard waves
with snow
that has melted
to join
in the flow of
water falls
humming
to band them
below
like applause
of so many
the sound
rambles on
through canyons
by valleys
in depth
of the long
distances travelled
journeys first start
to the ends
of it's reaches
now like
fingers it parts
to quietly linger
lazily move on
in this
peaceful existence
to mine
softly it soothes
