Science and Faith or Lies, Damn Lies and Gullability

I cannot help but shake my head in wonder. The things that people will believe is sometimes frightening.

The old adage of tell someone something often enough and they will believe it even if it is untrue.

A case in point is our new cap in trade/energy policy. The same people that cry there is no God because it can’t be proven He exists are the same people that are asking us to take on “Faith” that we have Global Warming. (Now Global Climate Change) There has been no increase in temperature in nine, that is right, nine years. There is no proof that  carbon emissions cause global warming. Ten years ago Al Gore and his cronies predicted the temperature would rise drastically, sea levels would change flooding Florida and many  coastal states. They couldn’t predict ten years into the future. What makes you think they know what they are talking about? It is just a pause in the temperature climb they say. What was that again?

Now, take sea levels increasing. Here is a challenge you can do at home if you have the guts. Take a glass or bowl and fill it with ice. This is the ice cap. Now fill the glass as full of water as you can without overflowing. This is the sea. The rim of the glass is the land. Let the ice melt and see if the glass/bowl overflows. Do NOT let condensation on the sides of the glass/bowl lead you to believe that it is overflowing. Watch the level at the rim. Does the level rise or fall or stay the same. You tell me.

Now, everyone should know that plants need carbon dioxide to live. That is basic science. They give off oxygen. That is also basic science. The carbon dioxide, which by the way is not a pollutant, has been way higher than it is now with no adverse effects. Can anyone make a guess why it is suddenly so critical that we control it? I didn’t think so.

What immediate and long term effects will this control have? Well, why don’t we start with Carbon Credits. That is something that Al Gore is heavily invested in. What are Carbon Credits? It is a marketable commodity that can be used to control business and personal lives. You will only be able to release so much carbon per week, month or year. If you don’t use all the carbon credits you are allowed, you can sell them so that some company, business or person can purchase what isn’t used for their own personal  or business use. Does any of this sound fishy to you? It should because it means that the government gets to make money off them via taxes and fines. It will also give more cronies jobs in the government. Not only that, they will be able to regulate who can get what credits for their business effectively controlling that business. On a personal level, they can control how much electricity you are allocated, how much gas you can use, how much you pay for all of it. On an even larger scale it means they can regulate what type of auto you drive, where you can go and what you can do.

I ask, do you really want this? We have coal, oil, nuclear power that are relatively clean, but that is in jeopardy. Are they truly after cleaning up an environment and saving the planet or lining their pockets and controlling all our lives? Why do they try so hard to discredit any scientist that speaks out against their “faith science?” If we are to accept their “unproven science on faith” then why are they so adamant about “faith in God” being unproven and the abode of the ignorant? I for one find it very strange. Of course, everyone knows that I am one of those idiots that believes in God and wants science to prove itself. If we are supposed to accept science on “faith” then shouldn't everyone also accept God, by whatever name called, on faith also?

Does anyone out there able to think for themselves find something odd about all this "faith science"?
