Misery Loves Company
An icicle of misery flying through time
out of your heart and into mine
worked into valves pushing away
its looking to find company today
Sadness alone can be fought
when misery comes she be brought
happy thoughts start fading away
listen to music and get in sway
Melancholy is a kin to dread
I'm stopping these images in my head
taking my time call it my own
then this hellion can find a new home
A demanding mistress she can be
drawing emotion like sap from a tree
stripping away the facade of self
misery just cant help herself
A windless flag belies the whole
all memory of joy flying no more
rolling it around,my aim to unfurl
As misery leaches, within my world
