In mock bravado talk
And play in endless games
Coy and evil to draw forth
Passion of entwined words
Spells of ideology woven
Lexicons of past forgotten origin
Long since lost to ear and heard
Spoken soft and written hard
Half filled well of blood
Quills dipped and tinted
To scratch the sentiments
Of the unforgiving love
Parchment crumpled; reservoir
Thrown and shattered
Watch it spatter into patterns
Nothing can be made of
Simple runs and drips
Broken tips, fray the feathers
On unwritten letters that
Never really mattered much
