This dusty poetry of mine

Shall soon become the pattern of the earth

Like the flowers of an Old Persian rug

It is good only

To walk on it

And walk away………

Sad isn't it...

but true for most of us will be forgotten when we are gone, if not soon after then soon after that... but there is hope that some poetry can live on... as many poems have lasted long after the writer.... loved this, it sent me reeling in thought. Richard

Hi Richard, everything will be forgotten when we are gone..... thanks for reading and commenting on my poem.....Sorry for late reply .....I was involved with life so much lately that I have forgotten poetry ......both writing it ....reading it ..and commenting on it .... last week or so ....I read an annoying poem on this site on child abuse case or something ....I wanted to totally delet all my poems from here ...I even asked how to do that ...but no luck in any reply ......I guess I quickly forget ....cause tonight i have posted another poem..... but I think there should be some filtering here .....so not everything gets published .....worse than that were the crazy comments on it ....I can not even recall the name of the poem or the poet ... anyway... Thanks again for you comments and keep them comming ......I need feedback ....I think my poetry is shrinking :)...... darya

I think every writer must go through those bouts where the world hammers the pen from us... I sure have. I've even gone so far as to swear off writing... only to pick up the pen in the middle of the night, like an old friend the pen accepts the thoughts and wishes... I'm sorry to hear about the poem, I have no idea to which one you are referring to, but, this is an unregulated site as far as content goes... and it is the only way it should be, we all have our own ideas and beliefs... if a poem or poet is offending to you, report it to a member of the AEC and it will definitely be looked into... Richard
