Baby Moses Law
Please, all you young people, or anyone that may give birth to an unwanted child, or just scared you cannot take care of it.
Texas and many other states have what is called a "Baby Moses Law". This allows you to drop your under 60 day old baby off at a hospital or manned fire station with no consequences. Please, please, find out if your part of the country has that law and get the word out!
March 17, 2009, Houston, Texas. A man found a baby only hours old in an abandoned clothes dryer by the neighborhood dumpsters. It was wrapped in a garbage bag and feebly crying. He tore open the bag so the baby could breathe and called 911. The baby still had the umbilical cord attatched. It is now in Child Protective Custody and will be placed in a foster home very soon. This could have been a tragedy that didn't have to happen. The Story: http://www.click2houston.com/video/18954558/index.html
PLEASE, FOR THE BABY'S SAKE AND THE SAKE OF PEOPLE THAT LOVE CHILDREN, DROP THE BABY AT A HOSPITAL OR YOUR LOCAL FIRE STATION!
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Rett
