Lost In Time

Remembering times of cherished bliss,

as together we held a tender kiss;

promises sweet, made so dear,

another night ended as dawn drew near.

We had our dreams, we reached so high

into the vast and clear, blue morning sky;

two hearts together, as if though one,

like the moon and stars, like the sky and sun!

The world was new and ours to share,

and we ran so freely, without a care.

But such time has passed and life has ways

to turn promised dreams into somber days.

But there are no regrets, my heart has none;

I still dream of you when each day is done.

For my love for you shall not forsake –

not time nor distance, they cannot take

the love we shared, so sweet and true,

the passion burnt under skies of blue.

And yet still now, how real it seems:

your countenance glows in moonlight beams,

Reflecting eyes, so crystal clear,

your voice – sweet laughter, in the winds I hear.

Like a surging tide in a raging storm,

my love is a fury without a form;

A soaring bird, unharnessed and free,

upon an ocean no isle can see.

Like a fallen star, just out of reach;

A plane, a dimension, no soul can breach,

Your love is gone like a clock's last chime,

forever mirrored and lost in time.
