Daydreaming today
about somewhere other than here
If I could just fly away
and make a new start
where the past is not so near
Sidewalk memories
everywhere I go downtown
I can't find a place
where I can be alone
and it's wearing me down
Looking out at the street
as the daylight fades to gray
a little quiet and peace
it's dark again
and my daydreams drift away
