Two Cities 1. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor,a military target;understandably we go to war.Were the people ofHiroshima and Nagasakisoldiers as well?White light / black rain,what do I know?These decisions look so simplein history books;I wonder what my grandparents thoughtas they were living through them.The problem with war,one of several problems, actually,is that nobody benefits,save for the oppressor.If war were a mercy mission,we'd be all over Africa right now.Hitler didn't piss people off,until he started expanding. 2. I saw a womanwith a burn pattern on her back,the design of her shirthad been permanently burned into her skinby the flash of radiation.She actually was one of the lucky ones.If that isn't sick. I saw a manwho lost his face.In a wayI did that to him,long before I was born. Greedpovertymiserysufferingpowerlustmurderstarvation this is what we've evolved to?Forget it!I'd rather be a neanderthal if that's the case.
