Purplemoondoll

I recently heard tragic news about Karen, known here on Neopoet as Purplemoondoll.

My name is Ricky Joy and i am Karen’s son. I’ve had  some of my work published on this forum under my mum’s name before and that is one of the reasons why i am writing this now.

As you know mum has battled a series of illnesses over the last year, however noone was ready  for this.

She had a scan on the first of september to decide whether she should have an operation or not. She had the operation, but this was precautionary and she has been doing really well and the scan showed no sign of cancer, which was obviously good. However, four weeks ago all hell broke loose with her stomach, bloating beyond all recognition. Lots of doctors have done tests and suddenly we had a situation of going from no cancer to something very serious indeed. It appears that the cervical cancer has been completely cured, but instead she had developed two more tumors in the same area, one 23 cm, the other 9cm in a very aggressive form, hence she hasn’t been online because these cancers have now decided to take over. Noone, not even the doctors, have seen anything like it before and the prognosis is very poor. This means that we have had to face the unthinkable and even with the treatment it is likely that purplemoondoll will die.

However my mum, although unable to do anything at the moment, wanted to send her love and best wishes to everyone on neopoet and to say thank you for helping her to make a cherished wish come true. She doesn’t know how long she’s got, but you guys have really helped her.

Please feel free to contact her on this account and i will make sure any messages are passed on to her.
