Domestic Blitz

Some couples argue all the time;
not about important things,
but trivia.

They differ, for example, on how long it took
to get from A to B last summer,
when they went abroad,
or how many times they stopped, and where,
or how much they spent on meals.

I always want to ask: "Who cares?"
Or "Does it really matter?"
Or "Are you planning to go on all night?"

Quietly, I hope that one of them
will soon give in;
but no, they both insist.
Such flak may be essential
in order to achieve domestic blitz.
