I thought it would be a good idea to start a discussion about how to increase the number of active advocates.
What does it mean to be active? Is being active just logging on with a certain frequency?
Is being active making any kind of comment or contribution, or only making comments about poems?
Do you think that advocate status should be revoked if an advocate has been inactive for a certain period of time? If so, how long a period of time should that be?
I've often struggled with this question because while on the one hand, I think advocate status should be revoked if an advocate has been inactive for a long period of time, on the other hand, there are always things that come up that require that a person be away from the site every now and then.
Should an advocate be required to give some notice to the website if he or she will be inactive for a long period of time?
What are your thoughts about this issue? Do you have any thoughts about how to increase the number of active advocates?
Sincerely,
Michael
