Life has me questioning what's wrong with this country (Update)
Recently two kids were left in a car and one is still in critical condition and may suffer permanent brain damage, the other will be in CPS custody. The mother went inside her house and slept for 8 hours before she remembered the kids. The daddy has no job, no income and no source of income at all. There was no nationwide outcry. A few months ago, two children died in a parking lot because the mother forgot to drop them at daycare on her way to work and left them in the car for 10 hours. There was no nationwide outcry. A few years ago in Florida a brain damaged woman, at the request of her estranged husband and over the wishes of her parents and siblings was allowed to starve to death in the hospital. There was a moderate outcry. Yesterday or the day before, several dogs died in the back of an animal control truck whose air conditioner shorted out while the animal control officer was eating lunch. Guess what? Yep, huge nationwide ourtcry. Candle light vigils and other things. What is wrong with this picture? Three months of this summer 125 people in Chicago were murdered which is twice the number of soldiers killed and injured in Iraq. Where is the nationwide outcry? We have become so attuned to murder and death of human beings in this country that we don't care. Let a dog get hit by a car or die from heat exhaustion though and BANG, Everyone is up in arms. Demanding resignations, firings, money spent etc. to help the poor animals. Tell me, what is wrong with this picture?

I'll tell you where it is. Some dogs in Houston died from the heat when the A/C failed in the Animal Control Vehicle. There is your nationwide outcry with candle light vigils and screams for something to be done. Tell me people, what is wrong with this picture? Tell me why an animal's life is more important than children being killed by neglect or murder? Something is bad wrong with America when animals are more important. That is my two cents. Spend it any way you like.
