Name Her/Him

Conceived in meaningful metaphors
in the dark shadows of bliss
beneath emotions kissing on the mouth
the yearning within each being
making them that much more
drawn to each other over time
finally collapsing into the thought
breathlessly swapping samples
of our individuality time and time again
until we were influences of the other
coming full circle in our creations
words come to life in the form of
babies taking first breaths
off paper and in sight
what once was just us being artistic
became the greatest
of our artistry
as we manifested what we wrote
and when that day arrives
we shall name her or him
Poetry.

This is awesome!

What's the word for making something inhuman human?? Oh yeah, personification.... Really liked how you personified this one. Poetry needs you. There are

Poetry needs you. There are to many people making a mockery of our craft. This piece shows your passion for it.

Just beautiful. One could

Just beautiful. One could read this over and over, having a different flow and meaning every time. I don't know if you intentionally did that, but it makes the piece quite unique, not many can accomplish --it's like an image on the surface of a pond, you place a leaf, and the ripples create art... very nice. Thanks for that. poetry. ~~pfluffer~~
