Nothing is Lost or Can be Lost

A reason to smile, a reason to cry            My first real tear I wiped from my eye            The giddy feeling that makes me jump up and down            The one thing that makes me float when I’m about to drown            Running to you, when I see your figure standing down the road            Not wasting a minute your body’s warmth attracting me to it            Pulls me closer, like a magnet craving your arms around me            Now seasons of love come and go            And so does your smile your presence in my life            You’re lost and not found, I’m scared and I drown            Nothing there to keep me afloat, nothing to push me to the surface            I find a face, a smile, a hand to hold            Not as warm as yours, doesn’t fit as well into my hand            But a hand is a hand and I’m taking it now                       I’ve forgiven you for being away for far too long            Your figure once again appears down the road            I run to it and you’re scared I won’t run as fast and you won’t hold me as tight            But as you squeeze your arms and my body feels safe against yours            And I whisper “nothing is lost or ever can be lost”

Nothing is lost....

I liked the poem, but it started off with a nice rhyme and flow then changed. Was it on purpose? Rett

yes it was. the girls life

yes it was. the girls life started off perfect. she found the man of her dreams and was happy and settled. once she found someone else who wasn't as great. things went down hill and at the end it dosn't go back to being completely perfect because nothing is the same once the innocence and purity of it is spoiled.
