enter life with nothing but the skin on your back
not even a tooth in your head to grin with
then they give you the idea that if you cry loud
enough you will get what you need the most
Attention just to have somebody to be next to
on your own with a trunk and new clothes on your back
a full set of teeth to grined and take a bite out of life
then you learn that sometimes people don't listen
unless you are well spoken and converse articlately
Attentive to the perspective of others just to share
