Voting is highly encouraged on this site for two reasons. One it is nice to get a little ego buzz by getting your poem in tthe "Spotlight", but perhaps more importantly it helps us tailor the site to your preferences and needs.
Unfortunately the voting system has been abused in two ways recently. One is people dropping in a vote of one with no critical feedback. That is unworthy and cowardly. If you hate it that much either refrain from voting or give critical feedback.
The other is people downvoting other peoples poems to get their own in the spotlight. That is just bloody contemptible.
Let there be no consideration of "Big Brother" here, but we can track voting and people who engage in these acts of disintegrity are clearly not poets and not welcome here.
Please cease and desist forthwith.
