Forum

Critical feedback has dropped dramatically,

Both statistically and objectively. We are searching ways to address this, both technically, in site structure and, my preference, a lively forum about it. I will post my ideas in a forum but please think seriously about this.

Who wants a "pat my back, I'll pat yours" approach? There are plenty of sites full of the most trite, banal, frankly crap poetry that do this. Lets strive for quality and work towards it. Sure some young poets who show talent need caring support. Others, like me would prefer a full punch in the face to be shown ways to make my work better.

Some poets can't take criticism while remaining very very fine poets.
at least 3 poets on this site accept no feedback whatever but their poetry is so superb and their comments are so compassionate and insightful they are most invaluable to this site. Well 2, one just left proclaiming herself a genius Pegasus.
I have seen some newer advocates taking this on board, notably Poet_Inside, Purplemoondoll and Orgami. But it goes beyond correcting spelling mistakes and grammar. Do you think they are succeeding in their attempt? Sometimes a wrong choice of word or grammar destroys the meaning. We have a care of love, so rare in egocentric poets.
This is not a site for the feint hearted.
Let's give each other some kind of caring kind hell.
I am posting this on the site, to all advocates and as a forum
Cheers, Jess
