The Ice Princess

The Ice princess sat on the bank, of her emotional brook.

Her tears trickled first then, flowed but did not melt the new morns snow .

She pondered  transfixed , frozen in the coldest of dreams.

To a world oblivious, to the silence, of her  inner screams.

As the cold morning air hit , the pain in her lifeless heart weeps

A never ending awakening for soon the body will find the hearts sleep.

For the Sleep that it craves , for the days gone, ner to come again.

A stalagmite tiara, adorns, so fair a maiden who will forever to remain.

For her tears are cast as a rainbows arc, and shed for one lost in a distant past.

And a heart that’s left in purgatory to where its been cast.

No fault belies , the unsolvable quest,  no blame attached .

For the perfect couple, exquisitely matched.

Her Prince of honour his existence dissipated now gone.

An iced statuette carved of the hardest ice she forever must be alone.

To remain in this self inflicted incarceration of crystallized water

Her fathers pride and joy ,no longer has the King his daughter.

For same as her prince she can no longer share.

Her world so cruel completely lacking in care.

And although she sits  freezing and chilled to the bone.

She understand very soon that she will not be alone
