Test of Time
Against the test of time I stand
Sullen and frozen with my feet in the sand
The world moves on
But I stand still
I look at the person to my right
The sun fades to night
As I lean back to see whats in store
The clouds roll in as a black parade
Are they here to take the fallen
Are they here to release the saved
Only in this test of time
Will I find out what is to be
The bombs have been dropped
I can’t hear a sound
I look around once more
Crying for the ones on the ground
They died for love
They died with honor
Now what do I do
Do I stand tall and die with pride
Or do I listen to my heart
And run like a coward
Only time will tell
In this test of time
