Life On Rewind

How is it that things change so much

In  just a small amout of time

Your life can be changed so fast

Sometimes you just want to hit rewind

To see the times to you smiled

To hear the words others said

To look back to who was always there

To simply appreciate what you had

But do you wish

When you look back

That things hadn’t change

I wish I would have trusted

The ones I do now

I wish for all I have now

To be a part of my past

All of it together

Why is it I’m distant

From all the love I used to have

My passions, my dreams

Have I forgotten

Have I lost myself

What is it I’m searching for

I have everything I need

I’m even happy

But still there’s something missing

I miss haven you there

I miss calling you

Just to tell you I care

Do you ever feel that way

Or am I just insane

Maybe one day

Things will be the same

When I felt whole

When I felt comeplete

I tried so hard

And I’ve made it this far

But still there’s a long way to go

I’ve learned to trust and to forgive

But still I can’t take back all the things I did

If only it were that simple

Then everything would have stayed the same

The same to the point of agreement

I would have cherish

I would have honored

Those I loved so dearly

But now I’m gone

I’ve gone away

To live a new life

To just try and be me

I just wanted to be free

Now I miss those who were closest to me

But one day things will get better

And maybe we’ll see each other again
