This WAS a test

But it's been elevated to poetry, eh? We are trying to make the "you've got a comment!" mail less... annoying.

LOL

Andrew that's so cool. By the way, I don't find it annoying. I look for, in order, comments to my poems, new poems, replies to comments, then older dialogues. Am still finding stuff back past page 60. This site is an organism. cheers, Jess

Haha

Glad to hear. We're trying to set up a way for members to opt for a "once daily" digest of comment updates. We already got it working for private messages - but this could take more work. Ideally we'll eventually have an integrated system for everything. We could have a daily newsletter with a few of the latest members, poems, updates... and of course, a notice whether or not you have new messages and comments. We'll get there Jess - we'll get to page 60 and safely back.

Actually I

thought the poem was lacking in content. Virtually non existent in body and semantically null. A little editing and I believe it might reach the great heights of practically nothing. Rett: "At twenty, if you are not a Liberal, you have no heart. At Thirty, if you are not a Conservative, you have no brain." Winston Churchill

of Rett! I thought better of you.

I have revised my original opinion and now rate this un-paralled piece of minimalism amongst the greatest achievements of poetry, philosophy and cosmology. May I humbly suggest you re-approach it with a a pickaxe and Texan charm, your faithful servant, Jess B. Tapper, non-esquire

Looking at it again, I must agree, this approaches the pinnacle of minimalism.! Rett: "On life; Ah such a wondrous thing, beauty and love to behold and experience! On death; I can wait to see..." Rett 2008.

Just the day

Well if you will have me I will stand in front or behind you it is your choice to make. At the age of twenty I was a person that held no need. At the age of thirty I was just that me. At the age of fourty I looked to the sky and at the age I now hold I see only me myself and I. So I say to a great man you my friend knew nothing of the likes of me. Steven A. Kacer

Eloquence

Well sir, My speach may at times lack eloquence yet never with ignorance. So as the man said let fly the mind you keep and the time spent will be just that time unto the mind of a fool or a friend. The man said. Steven A. Kacer

Boredom

I say to you this. The wrinkles on your forhead are enough for me and we need to go fishing or hunting my friend I have never met. By chance we will meet or just a glance that will know we were to be friends and brothers. I will look for you on the lady the sea and when hunting as the sound of nothing. I hope you get the drift. Cannot see my comment: Och Paddy I thought I saw you in the street the other day and when we came together and it was neither of us. That's what this reminds me of! Irish humour.

She has a sticker in the rear window that says Geezer racing. It made me think of you. No worries as I will fix the car and make her sing agian. Steven A. Kacer

reminiscent of the wail of air raid sirens in hot summer days

these can be seen and heard on your maximun volume adjustment WAY past "2" courtesy of U-Tube Broadcast [ American Air Raid Sirens ] SEARCH I enjoy them very much and this poem has brought me there with its succinct simplicity like that of a clear blue sky and the low climbing of that spine tingling adventure (Love this Poem)

Countering an argument

Sharp, short stabs to the infirm yet tired twisted torso Alienate my aching reasons to some nameless alley in the mind Soft lipped petals moistened by dew shimmer in the pale moonlight Screams, unreasoned and evil reflect the distress Awaken my soul my father Banish this solitude Take me to thy land of everlasting peace and joy May the maidens on this distant shore Caress these gaping wounds With thy balm of love For thy vapours of balm is all that I need
